The cattle are the heart of Saline River Land & Cattle, LLC, run out of Monticello about 120 miles south of Little Rock. We're not a sale barn and we're not a catalog. We keep a manageable set of good females, we know every head by sight, and we'd rather sell you one that fits your program than ten that don't.
Everything here grows up on river-bottom grass, gets handled quiet, and leaves in better shape than most. When you buy off this place, you can call the person who raised it.
What we run.
Replacement heifers
Groups of uniform bred and open replacement females, ready to go to work. Selected for feet, fertility, and udder quality, then grown out on grass so they hold up in your country, not just on paper.
Bred cows & pairs
Select bred females and the occasional pair, described honestly and priced to move. No commingled sale-barn cattle, no surprises when the trailer gate opens on delivery.
Disposition first
A good attitude in the chute and the pasture is not optional here. Calm cattle breed back better, load easier, and fit into a family operation without a fight. We cull hard for it.
